Volusia County Cultural Alliance’s Annual Members Dinner provides a special opportunity for all VCCA members and their guests to gather for a festive evening that includes a delicious meal, fine wine, and camaraderie, in a cultural venue that showcases the significant attributes our County has to offer. Throughout the evening, artists from various disciplines perform and cultural highlights from the year are shared. There is also a brief discussion about the state of the arts in Volusia County.
Each year, the Alliance Board nominates and approves an individual or a couple to receive the Annual Tippen Davidson Award and it is awarded publicly at the Dinner. The annual Members Dinner is also the time when members approve the slate of new officers, vote for new Board members or re-elect current Board members (nominations from the floor are also accepted). The bylaws allow for up to 20 Board members, each serving a renewable 2-year term.
In recent years, the Members Dinner has grown to include politicians, patrons, and interested citizens, in addition to VCCA members who are artists, professionals, arts leaders, business people, government officials, and educators.
